Pride Spotlight: Kimm Topping’s Hopeful Horizon

Redefining Hospitality: Hotel Park Avenue x Lore Group Commission

In June, Queer Art Hub partnered with international design and hospitality group Lore Group for an exclusive commission at Hotel Park Avenue. Pride Month this year proved that unconventional spaces can serve as powerful, inclusive ways to access and share queer art.

The collaboration resulted in a public art piece created by multidisciplinary queer creator Kimm Topping. ‘Hopeful Horizon’ (2026, digital) is a colorful illustration that combines the colors of the rainbow with a golden sunset, offering a compelling visual for both pedestrians and hotel guests.

The commission was on view until mid-July at 444 Park Ave S, New York, NY.

Kimm Topping (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based collage and illustration artist bridging historic places, faces, and events with contemporary ideas, currently serving as the artist-in-residence at the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center.

Kimm is also an educator, writer, and historian dedicated to preserving LGBTQIA+ history through their book, Generation Queer (Lee & Low Books,
2025), and as a guide for feminist and queer history tours. Their work has been recognized by the Publishing Triangle, the Curve Power List (2025), Queer History Boston, and the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition.

As corporate Pride Month winds down, Queer Art Hub is issuing a critical call-to-action to corporate partners, businesses and institutions to invest in queer artists and queer art 365 days a year.

Support Pride all 365 days: reach out to discuss any upcoming campaigns, events, commissions and collaboration opportunities with queer artists by partnering with us. See Dear Queer Artists’ services here.
