Queeriosities, the vibrant Art and Makers Fair for LGBTQIA+ artists, has officially kicked off its 2024 edition at the Copeland Gallery in Peckham, London! Following a successful evening preview, the organizers are excited to invite the public to join for the remaining general admission days of this extraordinary event, which showcases the work of over 50 LGBTQIA+ artists, makers, and small businesses.

Event Highlights

  • Cultural Programming: This weekend is packed with engaging activities, including creative workshops and housing mixers. Attendees will not want to miss the special feature exhibition titled Wendy Houses, curated by Davy Pittoors, which highlights miniature and dollhouse works by talented artists such as Anka Dabrowska and Daisy Blower.

    • Sunday, November 3: General Admission (11 AM – 5 PM) – Free entry.

Special Programming

  • Gemma Rose-Bentley Book Signing: Visitors can meet author and art historian Gemma Rose-Bentley as she signs her book Queer Art: From Canvas to Club. This event, in collaboration with Common Press CIC, dives into the intersections of queer culture and creative expression.
  • Buddy Up! Queer Housemate Mixers: In partnership with Buddy Up!, these mixers are designed to connect queer individuals seeking housing, fostering community and collaboration.
  • Badge Cafe Hangouts: Artist Ben Walters will host the Badge Cafe, providing a relaxing space for attendees to create unique badges from old books and magazines throughout the fair.

The fair not only highlights underrepresented voices but also aims to create connections within the community while challenging traditional boundaries between art forms.
